Recent surveys support the idea that more and more gamers are enjoying the fare that can be downloaded from app stores to their iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches.
Let’s take a look at some of the other typically encountered traits of iPad buyers. People who take vitamins and cheer for organic food are also big buyers of iPads, as are scientists and those employed in the medical industries, and world travelers. This is likely due to the portability and power an iPad brings for someone who is always on a plane. For people with health care careers, the iPad is being adopted for the workplace at an astounding rate. Check out the information here and see where you fit in.

Nothing is more exciting to a gamer than when their favorite video game becomes a movie. Throughout the years, several production companies have taken on the task of making a video game one step closer to reality by putting it on film. Let’s take a look back at some of the most memorable movies based on video games.

Super Mario Bros.

Ah, yes, the classic. In 1993, directors Rocky Morton and Annable Jankel, took on the incredible task of taking America’s well loved Mario and Luigi and turning them into movie stars. However, as you may recall, it wasn’t wildly successful. The movie tanked, hardcore, at the box office. It recouped only half of it’s $48 million dollar budget. Unfortunately, there was just nothing “super” about this Mario Bros. movie.

Mortal Kombat

Eventually made into a mildly successful series, Mortal Kombat the Movie, was directed by Paul Anderson and released in 1995. Despite receiving heavy nay-saying from critics, the movie did well amongst fans of the popular video game. It was actually eventually made into a television series in 1998.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

This one was for the ladies! The film, directed by Simon West, and starring a beautiful Angelina Jolie, was released in the US in 2001. Commerically a success, Tomb Raider grossed $335 million dollars and eventually lead to a sequel. It takes our cake as being the highest grossing video game to film adaptation worldwide. It couldn’t have anything to do with it’s saucy leading lady, could it?

These films, whether successful box office hits or not, are definitely responsible for the evolution of video games. They helped turn our video games from levels to life-like, and created characters we could relate to. The movies are well love by fans and can be found syndicated on popular channels and dish network channels on the weekends. Of course, these are only 3, but there are several more video game to film adaptions to be appreciated. No doubt, we will continue to see high dollar productions of our video games in the future. I’m ready. Are you?

Okay, I will have to be very honest with you for a second. When I was first told about the game of Minecraft, I did not think it was real. I also did not want to have to pay for it because to me it just seemed like some weak sauce lame game. Now that I have it, I can say that I was wrong and it is quite addicting. I have not been playing for very long, and so I am still a beginner. Luckily for all of us beginners out there, YouTube has a ton of stuff that shows how to play the game and even enhance the game play.

The video below is a how-to for Minecraft that I found to be extremely helpful, so if you are just beginning and ready to make sure that you are getting the most out of your sweet game of Minecraft, then watch it. After you’ve gotten the basics down, you will notice that enhancing the game with communities and forums is another way to make sure you are getting the full effects of the game. Let’s face it, playing the game is way easier than finding natural male enhancement and things of that nature.

So watch the video and have fun playing!

I have always been a big fan of video games. One of the first games I ever got was a game called Pro Flight Simulator. I used to play it on my old apple computer. However, that game is no match for today games, which has come a long way since the days of the apple. Recently I have been playing a game called Pro Flight Simulator. This game is just incredible. It is so rich in detail and time consuming, okay so it is not perfect. Many companies will pretend that they know how to make a good flight game, however only one game has the detail and the graphics to make that claim. Pro flight simulator continues to stand out from the pack.

When you buy this game, you are getting over 25 years of design experience and knowledge. Pro flight is by far the best PC FLIGHT game that you can buy today. With Pro flight Simulator, it will feel like you are flying an actual airplane. The computer-simulated world is rich in detail and the interactions within the game will leave you almost speechless. You only need to buy this game one time, and when you do, you will get lifetime free updates, free bonuses such as the interactive scenery designer, and even simulated combat.

The maps are correct and you even have the solar systems, these small details are one of the many things that make this game so appealing. Most people when they first start playing should play in standalone mode. Although you might be tempted to jump into the incredible online mode option. You should avoid that for the few days, and play in standalone mode. As this will give you a chance to adjust and learn the game. Although it is not a hard game to learn. Once you have a good working grasp of stand along mode, you can then go online. Furthermore, you are sure to like this game and if you do not it come with a money back policy.

You can buy a simple version of the game or the deluxe editions. With the deluxe edition, you even have the choice to start the game at your local airport. You many flight modes options in this game, including Free flight, where you can fly almost anywhere in the entire world.
The game has an online access area, if you want to play with your friends. You can make teams and fly across the nations of the world. Pro Flight simulator is a video game that cannot be matched.
So now, it is your turn to come out and control the skies in this great video game called pro flight simulator.

FlyOrDie pretty much created the online board game genre of sites for me. They have stayed free and accessible by every computer since their creation through the use of small out of the way ads. The games range from Checkers to Chess to more exotic games such as Gomoku and Go. They keep track of who you play and you wins through a ranking system so that you know the people you play are in your play level. You won’t go on and immediately lose to every advanced player there is. You start out as a white player and advance through various colors and crowns until you get to gold.

Pogo is more of a traditionalist gaming site. They are still free and have a lot of choices but they do not offer any foreign games. Mind you there are still lots to choose from with what they do have. They even bring older classic back to life with new skins and 3d animation. Games like Risk and Monopoly City are just a couple to mention. Otherwise you can stick with the classics and even down the graphics to play faster paced with slower computers.

Yahoo games are not the best of the bunch but you have to give them one thing; they are reliable. They have a different version of each game. One for slow computers and one that has been amped up for faster computers. You won’t get the full feel with the slow one but you can just about play it on any ancient pc you have stashed around your attic. That is pretty much the only reason they are included on the list. Every game they have whether it is checkers or backgammon has a really nice and reliable new version and a not so pretty but 100% stable and can still be played on my grandma’s ancient computer that has windows 2000. So, the next time you’re bouncing around Yahoo searching for satellite tv info, check out their game selections.

Newgrounds has a lot of amazing card games in their repertoire. Unlike the tons of sites out there that says they are free but aren’t; Newgrounds is completely free and even allow user generated content to be added expanding the game data bank more and more everyday. They also have several types of Casino Card games added to the Solitaire and the like. When you play the games many have achievements enabled so that everyone can see how amazing you are at cards. If you are signed in it keeps track of your game stats and everything else. If you get tired of them they also have other types of games as well.

Pogo is loaded with all kinds of card and casino card games for you to play at your leasure however there are a few that are restricted to members only and the membership does cost money. However, of the free card games I have played on their site they are all really good quality and pretty reliable. If the money issue is bothering you that bad though then another site may be a better fit for you. For those that would rather pay the monthly cost it is 5.99 a month and it opens up all their games; not just the card games.

Yahoo! comes through again with their extensive list of card games. They are listed by how you can play. Whether you need to download the game, play it on their website at yahoo, or play it on their gambling version of yahoo called king yahoo. They have over 50+ games you can choose from and loads of others besides the card games that you can choose as well.

So, back away from the satellite tv, player! Hop onto the internet and check out these online card games!

If you are like me then you hate sitting around with nothing to do as well as playing any mind numbing games that rot your brain out. or watching video and Direct TV. My games have to have some substance. They have to have strategy. Most of the time that means that they are puzzle games. A quick fix that I can put down at any time and can play them on just about any mobile device that has smart capabilities. The next time you find yourself in need of a puzzle game to keep your brain going at peak performance with out giving you a headache to match then try the sites I’ve listed for you...

The next time you find yourself in need of a puzzle game to keep your brain going at peak performance with out giving you a headache to match then try the sites I’ve listed for you below. I think you’ll find them just as enjoyable as I have.

Addicting Games has some very awesome puzzle games both the ones they make and the ones others have made for them. If you are looking for any type of puzzle game it is a safe bet to look at addicting games. If you don’t find what you are looking for then you can probably fall into one of their alternatives as they literally have thousands.

Newgrounds has some of the highest quality puzzle games I have ever seen. They love making their own games and they also like to get other flash game developers to make games for them. With that comes very professional games that are high quality and reliable. Unfortunately that does decrease the amount of games they have that are at the same quality. It is like placing a 5 next to a 10 and seeing just how bad the 5 looks.

1001 Online Games is a decent alternative if you can’t find anything on the other two. They get a lot of user generated content and with that comes a million different pairs of eyes and a million different types of ideas for games. If you haven’t found what you are looking for yet then you should look on 1001 online games.
